June 11th. Happy French cows and a work-in-progress.
June 10th. It's 10 PM here—just getting to be twilight. Shortly after dinner, one of Hope's neighbors knocked on the door—he doesn't speak English—but kindly gave us some artichokes, green-leaf lettuce and these beautiful radishes from his garden. Most of the villagers have garden plots—wonderful fresh vegetables and are very gracious in sharing.
June 8th. Another beautiful day—spent roaming the countryside in the sunshine and visiting a family winery. Back in the studio tomorrow—but that's a good thing too.
