Wednesday, May 28th. Did a lot of walking today and visited the Musée Jacquemart-André — not either of the photos above, but also an interesting bit of history and art.
Morning, Thursday May 29th—I met up with a friend from Florida and her daughter and we had a full day in Paris. The 29th is a French national holiday, Ascension Day—so we started with an Ascension Day Mass at Notre Dame de Paris. A beautiful service and music. A delicious lunch of course and then the Musee Rodin where we finished the day with a cup of coffee in the garden and the security guard both photobombing and herding us out at closing time.
May 30th — Friday I connected with my friend Vicki. We went to Musee D'Orsay, enjoyed yet another good meal, then an hour-long touristy boat ride on the Seine and a visit to Magasin Sennelier (art supplies) on Quai Voltaire. A beautiful day and good to see yet another friend from home in France!
